Group Classes

If you are someone who feels overwhelmed, procrastinates, doodles to stay awake in class or work, or is frustrated with so many strategies that feel like more work - you’re in the right place.

Who is this for?

  • I feel or know I’m neurodivergent (this includes ADHD, Autism, synesthesia, HSP, dysgraphia, SPD).

  • I’m anxious more than I’d like to be.

  • I have sensory sensitivities.

  • I’ve been in therapy for a while and feel that something is missing.

  • Students, parents, educators, therapists, and anyone over the age of 17- all are welcome!

What is a Group Class?

Group classes are taught in a 12-week live series. Each class is 50 minutes over Zoom, with a maximum of 12 people per class.

The flow of the class covers:

  • Learn how stress impacts the brain and body.

  • Learn about sensory processing and executive functioning and how they relate to your own energy cycle.

  • Practice body mindfulness tools (sensory, breath, humor, movement) in guided and supportive sessions.

  • Build habits to integrate strategies that are meaningful and effective into day-to-day life.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Hi, I’m Cindy. As a mom to three daughters and two dogs, I attempt to find balance throughout my day.  I have a strong passion for sharing the education, strategies, and perspectives I’ve gained as an OT and as a person navigating life with strong emotions, ADD, imperfect communication, and a love for learning.  To learn more about me- explore my About Page.

  • Please email me if you cannot make it to the class so we can explore options. If you know you’ll miss because of a preplanned event (like Spring Break, meeting, or doctor's appt), let me know as soon as possible.

  • A Zoom link is sent to the email you provided when signing up. Please check your spam or junk mail first if you don’t see it in your inbox.

  • Nope! All classes are LIVE. If you’re like me, knowing you have an option to do it later is a recipe for procrastination. I want this to be successful so I won’t add one more thing to your to-do list.

I will send an email review after each class if you'd like to practice strategies during the week.

  • Whatever you’re wearing that day, you can wear to class. We will be moving but not sweating.

  • My adapted yoga and OT training allow me to share strategies that create an inclusive experience for people with physical disabilities, challenges with balance, and/or poor coordination. I do not yet have experience adapting classes for visual impairments, but I trust we can figure that out together to ensure this class works for you.

  • If you’re hungry and forgot to eat, grab a light snack before class. It’s best to wait till after class to eat a full meal.

  • Sensory awareness acknowledges that our senses (touch, taste, smell, hearing, proprioception, movement, and interoception) are all part of how we engage with our environment and with the people around us, how they let us feel safe and comfortable and also create disconnect, discomfort, and confusion.

One example of a sensory-aware class is understanding that some people love the feeling of folding forward, while others may immediately lose balance or feel queasy later on.

  • Being a trauma-sensitive occupational therapist means understanding that each and every person has their own experiences and emotions that can arise, sometimes unexpectedly. I encourage you to listen to your body and do what’s best for you. Language in this course will be sensitive and not always perfect. Please contact me if I need to change anything to create a safer and more comfortable experience for you.

  • Yoga is great for focus and stress and we’ll explore some movements but only for 5-10 minutes. A traditional yoga class is 45-90 min. If you would like to do more, I can help you find a class that’s a good fit in your area.

  • How many years have you lived not fully understanding yourself? 12 weeks is just the start to a better path of understanding how your brain and bodywork.

It is a chance to show up for yourself week after week and build the habit of self-care

Consistent practice allows you to see the impact in real time - instead of creating another list of things to do on your own

It takes time to build trust, especially in a group setting
